Server and users

The Administration > Server area controls registration, network groups, stored channel-history limits, and the local /relaystats command. Relay shows Apply Changes and Cancel for changes requiring a client reload. A reload is separate from a server restart; see the configuration reference.

/relaystats renders only inside Relay and is never sent to IRC. Its template supports $nick, $usernetworks, $userchannels, $messageslogged, $storagebytes, $databasebytes, $uptime, $relayversion, $os, and $go.

Users

Administrators can create accounts, reset passwords, grant or remove administrator access, enable per-user logging, and review users. Self-registration can be disabled or capped; administrators can still create accounts after the cap is reached.

Administration > Operations > Restart Server disconnects clients and exits the process with status 0 after a short delay. A process manager must start it again. Docker unless-stopped or a service policy that restarts on successful exits is needed; an on-failure policy does not cover this action. A standalone process stays stopped.

For the first account, follow First administrator. Configure sign-in policy under Authentication.
